Question on Furler bracket
Greeting,
I have a Cascade 42 hull #55. My boat is equiped with a "behind the mast" Mainsail furler. I am trying to remove the bottom braket that attaches the stay to the cabintop. In addition to other bolts, It has one large screw 3/4 to 1" head in the center of the bracket. I have been unable to remove it , penetrating oil and impact driver ( hand held) have failed. Does anyone know what this is attached to? It looks like it might be screwed into the mast step. Is it attached to something under the cabintop? Any harm in drilling it out?
If anyone out there is familiar with this setup, any info will be welcomed.
Thanks
Steve K

Sorry about that. I thought I was in the Cascade 42 section and I don't know how to move it.
